Introducing Renee From Casual Gal - A New Sponsor!

I want to introduce you to Renee. She is one of my new sponsors, and I am proud to be associated with such a nice and talented lady. Renee owns an Etsy Store called Casual Gal and she also is the author of Casual Gal blog.

Renee hails from Grand Junction, Colorado. She is married and a stay-at-home mom to 2 boys.

Her love for jewelry making started about 8 years ago, stringing beads and creating beautiful works of wearable art. As time went on she started experimenting with silver.

Now she creates her little lovelies with sterling silver, a jewelers torch and a variety of hand tools and stones.

Here is a necklace she did with a creamy pink, and hints of orange stone. It is set in sterling silver and it is available in her Etsy Store. Click here for details on it.

I really liked this unique necklace too. It is also made from sterling silver. She calls it a "Tapestry Pendant". She has a few different ones of these, to choose from.

Here is a sterling silver chain with a classic blood red agate pendant that is also looking for a fabulous neck to adorn. Amazing color, don't you think?

And here is my favorite. Renee calls this a "Spinner Ring". It is also made of sterling silver. This unique ring has tiny outside "spinner rings" you can play and fidget with. Too fun! I am told that this particular ring is sold, but no worries. Renee is happy to make up something, custom just for you.

This a super lady who would love for you to come and visit her, even if it is just to say hi. I am told that she could also use a few more followers. (Hint)

Here is the link to her blog....

This one is to her Etsy Store....

Please take the time to go see Renee. It is well worth the trip.

Sterling Silver and Citrine Giveaway! - Courtesy Of Sunset And Vine Jewelry

Another Giveaway! Enter to win these beautiful Sterling Silver and Citrine Earrings. They come to us courtesy of a recent friend of mine, from Sunset and Vine Jewelry.

Sunset and Vine Jewelry is an Etsy Store, which is owned by a wonderful artist. Her name is Brooke, and she also writes a blog called Tidbits & Glitz. She has a husband and 3 beautiful daughters.

Brooke has loved painting and crafting for years, but her passion is jewelry, and it shows. Her specialty is designing and creating the kind of jewelry that will be worn for years to come, without breaking a girl's bank account.

These elegant earrings remind me of rock candy. If you were ever gong to describe a pair of earrings as being "delicious", I think this would be the time.

The hoops are hand forged and made of 22 gauge sterling silver. Brooke informs me that these are lightweight, making them a pleasure to wear. I am not an earring wearing type of guy, so I will have to trust her on that. I haven't tried these on.

I love the looks of these in outdoor light. Serious wow factor!

The best part is that they are being given away for Free!

Want to win these incredible earrings?

Here is how you can to enter.

It is very easy, but you must complete all 3 steps.

1.) You must be a follower of Tools Are For Women Too!, if you are not one already.

2.) You must go to Brooke's blog, Tidbits & Glitz and become a follower there too. Please leave her a comment while you are there.

3.) You must go Brooke's Etsy Store, Sunset and Vine Jewelry and say hello to her. If you have never commented on Etsy just click on "contact", on her sidebar.

That's all there is to it. 3 little things for a chance to add some glamour to your life!

Would you like to sponsor a giveaway? It is an easy and inexpensive way to advertise your blog or Etsy store. Email me at toolsr4women2@gmail.com for rates and information.

Link Party Time! - Times Are Tough Thursday #2

Wow! Last week we had a record turnout with 664 thumbnails posted. Let's see what everyone brings to the party this time.

This is a very unique link party for Etsy sellers and handcrafters who sell their items on their blogs. It will be open to entries until Sunday, midnight, eastern time.

****Please Read The Rules And Instructions Before You Enter. This Party Is A Little Different.****

Really Easy Rules and Instructions

****You Must Join As A Follower If You Are Not One Already****

1.) This party is specifically for items that crafters are selling. If your item is not for sale, it will be deleted. Any type of craft or handmade item that you make yourself and are selling is generally welcome. The more the merrier.

2.) Link your item directly to the same item in your store, not to the store itself. Once people get to your store to view the item they will be able to browse your store if they want to.

3.) In the item description area, please input a short description and the price of your item. I am allowing 50 characters of space for you to do this, so please feel free to take advantage of it. The description and price will show up under your thumbnail picture.

4.) You can enter up to 3 of your items into this party. Post your best 3.

5.) One more thing.....I know that some of you will have a hard time linking back to the party from your Etsy store. That's fine. I understand. But please do whatever else you can to promote the party. Send out a few emails. Let your group friends know. Grab a button. Write a feature about the party. Whatever you want. Just remember that the success of the party depends largely on how many participants we have. So, I would love it if you would all help promote it.Here is a button you can grab if decide you want to link back and promote the party that way.....

Instructions for the actual entering of your item.....
Pretty easy.

1.) Click on the little blue button below the last set of thumbnail pics that says "Add your link". There is a little frog on the button.

2.) Copy and paste the url of the item you want to bring to the party.

3.) "Name" This is not for your name. This is where you enter a short description of your item and the price. Limit is 50 characters.

4.) Your email address. It will not be shown to the public. It is just part of the entry process.

5.) Then hit "next step" and pick out the picture of your item that you want to use as your thumbnail.

That's it!
Good Luck!

Free and Cheap Advertising Announcement

Lately, Tools Are For Women Too has undergone some enormous growth. Many of you have asked me about advertising rates on my sidebar, sponsoring giveaways, and the possibility of me doing a feature post about your Etsy Store or Blog. All of these things are possible, and I wanted to address a couple of them in this post.

While I would love to be able to actually make a few dollars blogging, my intent has always been to "pay it forward" and let fate take care of the rest. I have always believed that if I do the right thing, it will come back around 10 fold in return. I think that it is because of this philosophy that Tools Are For Women Too is growing so rapidly.

So, what about advertising?

First of all, I am still going to allow crafters and artists who have online stores to enter my link parties, and link directly to their stores. It is FREE, as usual. I am doing this because I know there are a lot of hard working crafters and Etsy Store Owners who depend on their income from their stores to pay some household bills. I want to help those people in a big way and provide them with a link from my blog, directly to their store, by entering my link parties.

Okay, now let's talk about Sidebar Advertising. Some of you have asked how they can advertise an item from their Etsy Store on my sidebar to get some added exposure. I really gave this one some thought. I knew it needed to be very affordable for all of you and very beneficial at the same time. Here is what I came up with........

Now, Etsy Store Owners will be able to put a picture of one of their items on my sidebar. The picture can include a header title, a brief description, and the price of the item. By clicking on the pic, a potential buyer will be transported directly to your store. Once there, the buyer can get details on purchasing your item, and browse around to see what else you have to offer. Pretty easy. The best thing about this kind of advertising is the price.......

Only $5.00 to post this kind of ad for a full week.

I tried to make it very affordable, so that even the sellers that are just starting out can take advantage of it. If that sounds cheap, it is. All I can say is that it is just another way I am trying to "pay it forward" and lend a helping hand to some of you.

By the way, if your item should sell before the week is up, let me know and we will update the ad with another item free of charge.

I will do another post about other types of very afforadble advertising very soon, such as feature posts for Etsy Stores and Giveaway Sponsorships.

Let me know if any of you need further information. I would be glad to help you, as always. I can be emailed at

Link Party Time! - Modern Craftswoman Monday #11

Time to party in a very big way! Thursday's party drew over 650 thumbnails. It was an overwhelming success. I cannot tell everyone how pleased and flattered I was to have so much support for Times are Tough Thursday.

So here is the deal, I listened. Because of the response we had on Times Are Tough Thursday, I am going to change things up a bit for Modern Craftswoman Monday. With around 500 thumbnails posted last time on the first day alone, who am I to argue. So, let's get this show on the road!

***Please Read The Rules And Instructions - This Party Has Changed A Little Bit***

Really Easy Rules

******You Must Become A Follower To Participate If You Are Not One Already*****

1.) All crafters are welcome. This includes sellers and non-sellers. The more the merrier! You may link directly to your Etsy store or selling blog if you want. Many crafters work very hard to pay a few bills with the items they make. This party is an outlet for them to get a little free advertising if they want it.

2.)
The items posted must have been made by you.

3.) You may enter the price of your item in the description. In fact, I encourage it! Let's see some crafters sell a few things this week. I will be allowing up to 50 characters in the description area for you to take advantage of.

4.) This is a "pay it forward" and "honor system" type of party. It's success largely depends on the number of people who attend and how much you as a participant promote it. Please link back and pass the word along. Some of you will find it hard to link back from your Etsy store. That is fine. I understand. Just try to promote the party the best you can. Here are a few ways that some of the really cool people promoted last Thursday's party. They.......

grabbed a button, tweeted it, put it on Facebook, emailed their friends, wrote a feature about it, put it on their sidebar, announced it on forums, notified their group, and lots more. However you want to promote the party is up to you. Here is a button if you want to promote it that way....

Now for the instructions......pretty easy.

1.) Scroll down past the thumbnail pictures of all the entries and click on the little blue button that says "Add your link."

2.) Copy and paste the url of the item you want to bring to the party in the url box.

3.) In the "Name" box, do not put your name there. This where you will put the description of your item. You can also input the price of your item here if you are selling it.

4.) Enter your email address. It will not be viewable to the public. It is just a part of the sign-up process.

5.) Click on "Step 2" and pick out the picture of the item you want posted. Click on it and done.

That's it!

You can post up to 3 items this week. Take advantage of it!

Also, do not forget to enter the Mermaid Treasure Giveaway!
